Easter was fun this year as Shanna is beginning to understand the true meaning. I would ask her to tell me what Easter was really about and she would tell me, " Jesus was resurrection ". "And he was risen again (and in a sing song voice she would sing the next part). "Aaaalleluuuiagh" It was so sweet.

My aunt Kathleen sent the girls matching Easter dresses. They were adorable and as you might all guess (at least with the next few pics) that I absolutely LOVE to match them.

Dying Easter Eggs, Shanna had never done that before so she really enjoyed it..

Here is Lindey with her Grammie. And since it was just barely Mothers day I wanted to talk a little about my wonderful mother. Its just amazing to me when I look at these sweet babies of mine and the extreme love that I feel for them and know that my mom felt the same for me. It brings me closer to her in a way and helps me to appreciate all she did for me. The sacrifice and prayers are only just a few of what she did for me. What I wouldn't give to have her patience and insight into things. She is who I want to become and I love her for it!

I got these matching outfits at Costco. I just about died when I saw them. Fluffy skirts.. Love them! :)

The girls just love each other and it makes my heart melt to see them hugging and kissing each other.

(Also from Costco)

And of course we had to include a sleeping picture. These are the moments when they look the most innocent and after a hard day with tantrums and disobedience it all seems to melt away when I see my girls' sweet sleeping faces. They look like they were just sent from Heaven.

This and That...

Well, I think I have pretty much given up on being real consistent with blogging. I really enjoy it! I just don't know where the time goes. What have we been up to? Well, the girls are growing and loving life. They have started to play together, which has been so funny to watch! I posted a video of it at the end of this post, so watch it if you have time to! Lindey still doesn't say much other than hi. But she does know quite a few signs and lately has been babbling and moving her lips the way she sees us move our lips when we talk. I think shes close! Shanna can write her name, which she is very proud of! :) She started gymnastics at the beginning of this month and has really loved it! Eric has been doing a few things around the house and I for some reason haven't mentioned yet that I started working at a rehabilitation facility as a certified nursing assistant at the beginning of October. I work Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 2:30 to 11 and Eric comes home from work at 2 on those days and watches the girls. I am really liking it, but there you have it..The reason I have been so non existent in the blogging world as of late. Now enough jabbering! :) Here are a few pics...

The girls were playing dress up. Here Lindey is making a silly face. (She has been doing that more and more when the camera comes out)

Gorgeous outfit!

Notice again the silly look on Lindey's face!

Conked out during lunch after a long morning of hard play!

Eric tiled the backsplash here just recently and I thought it looked really good! I don't know what I did without it before this!

Lindey is modeling a hat I made that can be made either for a boy...

Or a girl. Just add different accessories to it and there you go!

Ok so please excuse the mess. Its just about bedtime for the girls.

And yes, this is 2 in a half minutes long. And I would say its worth every second. But I am a bit partial :) So you can just watch a few seconds if you don't have time. She laughs near the beginning so you have to watch til you see that..Its pretty cute!

ooh that cupcake was good! I knew she was totally going to go for it :) Unlike Shanna who didn't really want to touch it at first! Shows how completely different 2 children from the same parents can be!

Lindey got her very own baby doll for her birthday and it was just the cutest thing ever to watch! She wanted that baby out of the package desperately and she was so excited to finally get to hold it she kissed it and hugged it! :)

WARNING: Lots of content. You may be here awhile...

Well here I am again. I suppose it is time to come back from my sabbatical..Not that I was ever the best at posting anyway. For those of you who don't remember me, I am Carrissa.. ;) Anyway, we took a very fun trip to Idaho and Utah. We went to Idaho for 1 week. And then Eric went home and the girls and I traveled on to Utah with my parents where we stayed with my Aunt Ellen for another week. Since pictures tell a lot and I swear my brain and mouth (or fingers in this case) don't often work real well together, here is a little of our adventure through a TON of pictures:

Utah:

My beautiful family on my mothers side. We are almost all here minus my hubby and My aunts hubby.

Lindey enjoying a ride on Uncle Jared's shoulders

This was the first time Shanna had ever ridden on rides before. Here she is awaiting the start of a ride at Lagoon

Hogle Zoo:

Alice and Shanna became fast friends!

The tigers were real active today. You can see him up close! :)
Temple Square:

My dashing soon-to-be missionary brother :)

This is my mom's uncle Gary and the moment he walked in the door and spotted Lindey they were inseparable! Here he is talking to her outside. It was so sweet to watch!
Yes, this is my mom with a huge line of clips clasped together from one ear to the other. Who did it? My dad... Why? Well, it was very, very late and everyone was beginning to feel a little loopy... My mom may never speak to me after putting this picture up. But I couldn't resist. It was too funny! I love you mom!!

Idaho Falls:

Ready for church at Grandma Hellewell's

Chasing the ducks with cousins, Hunter and Cedar
Feeding the ducks

Jackson Hole:

The aftermath of a long week and hardly no naps. My girls were wiped out and exhausted but we had the best of time with family and friends! It was so worth the drive and busy, busy schedule!

Projects

We have been having quite a few baby showers recently and so I decided to learn a few new crocheting patterns I picked out from etsy.com... Love that site, by the way!! Anyway, here are a few that have kept me pretty busy lately:

Girl (size 3-6 month) shoes. In this photo they aren't completely finished. A button was added to the center of the flowers on the car ride over to the baby shower :) A HUGE thanks to my mom for sewing the buttons on, because I ran out of time. LOVE HER!!!
Oh and I apologize for the quality of my camera shots, they are a bit bright.

(below) Boy (0-3 month) hat with brim. Lindey is so nicely modeling it! :)
